What is the protocol for dermatological surgeries?
Dr. Dobrescu, a board certified dermatologist, will review your particular surgical case with you in advance. Only he, or another of our board certified physicians will perform a surgery. Most can be performed in our office in an out-patient setting.
What should you expect?
The area of excision will be treated with a numbing agent. When having a dermatological surgery you should expect some discomfort afterwards as well as minimal bleeding. The site should be well taken care of and dressings should be changed regularly. Your healthcare provider will inform you how to take care of your surgical site.
