What are warts?
Warts are called Verruca Vulgaris. Most people have the cauliflower like warts that appear on little kids hands and feet. Warts are a virus that lives inside the body. They are caused by the virus called the Human Papiloma virus, and there are over 100 strands of this virus.
What are warts caused by?
Even though many people attribute frogs and toads to warts, they are not caused by these reptiles. They are caused by the virus called the Human Papiloma virus, and there are over 100 strands of this virus.
Where can warts appear?
Warts can appear anywhere on the body. They can appear on the hands, face, feet, etc. They spread from person to person and that’s why it isn’t uncommon for an entire wrestling team to have a break out of warts.
Will warts go away on their own?
Most of the time, about 80%, warts will go away within two years on their own. However, for the peskier ones, they may require a more severe treatment.
What is the treatment of warts?
Warts can be treated many different ways. Cryoterapy, freezing of the area by liquid nitrogen, is the most common. The wart is sprayed until it turns white several times. It may also be cut down to increase the effectiveness of the liquid nitrogen. A topical salycilic acid can be bought over the counter and can be effective if used consistently.
